The Spectral Exploration modpack is built primarily around Spectrum, which is a colorful magic mod that is discovery and exploration-focused. It’s complemented by additional magical content such as Affinity, a mod that offers more tech-like, automation-focused magic, Hexalia, a mod for witchery and plant-based magic, and Malum, a mod focused on the dark arts. When the elegance of magic is cast aside, the ugliness of brute-force technology is what remains - NEEPMeat’s dark and twisted biomechanical machines offer further automation and a method to commune with the eldritch! Use your newfound arcane knowledge to further explore and grow!
These main mods are enhanced by Terralith and Tectonic, which work together with many structure, mob, and dungeon mods to create a wide, majestic world, shown off by Distant Horizons and Complementary shaders. Warp pads offer a convenient but balanced method of long-distance travel between points of interest, and a collection of weapon, armor, and backpack mods offer a myriad of equipment to gear up with.
There’s also a focus on exploring with friends. New animations, emotes, an immersive first-person model, a ping system, and in-game VOIP encourage grouping up and setting off into the unknown.
