CommunityGoals — Progress Together, Expand the World

CommunityGoals is a Paper/Spigot plugin that lets your entire server work together to complete shared objectives that expand the world border when completed.

Instead of players progressing alone, your community unlocks exploration, resources, and new land as a team.

Perfect for SMPs, community survival servers, and progression-based worlds.

Key Features

• Global community goals with shared progress across all players.
• Goal GUI hub: a central menu shows 3 goals per NPC at a time (1 active + locked goals).
• Turn-in chest flow: players submit items via a chest UI; invalid/excess items are returned automatically.
• Goal queue system (optional): one active goal at a time with queued/locked goals.
• Per-goal border expansion rewards (overrides the global expansion amount).
• Auto-delete completed goals and refresh the GUI on completion.

Example Use Case

The server must collectively turn in 120 Diamonds.
Once completed, the world border expands by 250 blocks, unlocking new terrain to explore.

Commands

Player

• /goal list — Shows all currently active community goals for the player's world.
• /goal view — Displays detailed information about a specific goal (requirements, progress).
• /goal progress — A quick check of how much is remaining for a specific goal.
• /goal info — An alias for /goal view.
• /goal turnin [item] — Turns in items from your inventory towards a goal. If [item] is omitted, it tries to guess based on the goal.

Admin

• /goal-admin create [reward] [world] [desc] — Creates a new goal.
• /goal-admin delete — Permanently removes a goal.
• /goal-admin info — Shows internal goal data (creation date, state, etc.).
• /goal-admin list — Lists all goals, including paused and completed ones.
• /goal-admin setprogress — Manually sets the current progress.
• /goal-admin complete — Instantly completes a goal and triggers rewards.
• /goal-admin setstate — Changes state (ACTIVE, PAUSED, COMPLETED, CANCELLED).
• /goal-admin setreward — Updates the border expansion reward for a goal.
• /goal-admin save — Force-saves all goal data to the disk.

Border management

• /goal-admin border [world] info — Shows current border size and center.
• /goal-admin border [world] set — Sets the border to a specific size.
• /goal-admin border [world] expand — Expands the border manually.
• /goal-admin border [world] center — Changes the center of the border.

Queue management

• /goal-admin queue [key] list — Shows the current goal queue.
• /goal-admin queue [key] add — Adds a goal to the end of the queue.
• /goal-admin queue [key] remove — Removes a goal from the queue.
• /goal-admin queue [key] move — Reorders goals within the queue.
• /goal-admin queue [key] next — Advances to the next goal in the queue.

• NPC

• /goal-npc link — Links a specific FancyNpc to a goal.
• /goal-npc unlink [goal_id] — Removes the link between an NPC and a goal.
• /goal-npc list — Lists all NPCs currently linked to goals.
• /goal-npc central <add|remove|list> — Manages "Central" NPCs that can display multiple queued goals.
