Ultracoin

Adds Ultracoin, a throwable coin inspired by ULTRAKILL's iconic Coin mechanic.

Craft an Ultracoin using 4 Gold Nuggets, throw it, then hit it with a supported projectile to ricochet it toward the nearest valid target. The projectile will never target the entity that fired or threw it.

For testing purposes, you can obtain an Ultracoin with:

/loot give @s loot ultracoin:ultracoin

Supported projectiles

By default, Ultracoin supports:

• All arrow types
• Tridents
• Ender Pearls
• Firework Rockets
• Small Fireballs
• Wind Charges

The list of supported projectiles is fully configurable through the #ultracoin:reflectable entity type tag.

Coin chaining

Projectiles can ricochet into another Ultracoin, allowing stylish chain shots across multiple coins. Each coin is destroyed after a ricochet.

Chaining is not always perfectly reliable. Since Ultracoins are very small targets and the ricochet trajectory is calculated dynamically, some shots may occasionally miss.

Targeting

Ricocheted projectiles automatically home in on the nearest valid target within 64 blocks.

If no valid target is found, the projectile is not redirected, although the coin is still consumed.

While a ricochet is taking place, nearby Ultracoins within 16 blocks are temporarily frozen in midair to make chaining easier. (This behavior is disabled in situations where chaining itself is disabled.)

Projectile bonuses

After ricocheting, projectiles receive:

• 10% increased speed
• Temporary immunity to gravity

For arrows, the speed boost also results in slightly higher damage.

CrossArms compatibility

Ultracoin includes built-in compatibility with CrossArms datapack.

When CrossArms is installed:

• Arrows fired from Multishot, Frenzy, and Acceleration crossbows cannot chain into other coins after a ricochet.
• Arrows fired from Frenzy crossbows do not destroy Ultracoins. Instead, they gently knock the coin upward, allowing an entire stream of shots to be redirected through the same coin. Since Frenzy effectively turns a crossbow into a minigun, this enables continuous ricochets.
• Arrows fired from Deflector crossbows cannot ricochet from Ultracoins at all.
