StaffSee is a lightweight Fabric mod for server moderation.
Warn, mute, kick, freeze, and report players. Every action is logged to simple .txt files in your world folder.

Server-side only. Vanilla clients can join.

How it works

StaffSee runs entirely on the server. Staff use slash commands; the mod writes each action to world/StaffLog/ in human-readable text files — one folder per player, plus shared audit files for chat and reports.

No database. No web panel. Open the files in any text editor.

Commands

/warn <player> <reason>
Warn a player and append the entry to their log.

/warns <player>
Show recent warnings for a player.

/mute <player> [duration] <reason>
Block chat messages.
Durations: 30m, 2h, 1d, or perm for permanent.

/unmute <player>
Remove an active mute.

/kick <player> <reason>
Kick a player and log the reason.

/freeze <player> [reason]
Freeze a player in place — no movement, no interactions. Useful for screenshares.

/unfreeze <player>
Remove an active freeze.

/report <player> <reason>
Report a player. Online staff are notified instantly.

/reports
List open reports (staff).

/reports resolve <id>
Close a report and archive it to a .txt file (staff).

Requires OP level 2 by default, or LuckPerms nodes (see Permissions below).

Each player gets their own folder.
Staff actions are split into separate files — easy to review, easy to share.
Chat messages are logged globally under _chat/, one file per day.

Permissions (optional — LuckPerms)

StaffSee uses fabric-permissions-api. Without LuckPerms, staff commands require OP level 2.

Companion mod

StaffSee pairs with ChestSee — log container interactions in ChestLog/, handle player moderation in StaffLog/.

Install

1. Install Fabric Loader and Fabric API for your Minecraft version
2. Place StaffSee.jar in your server's mods/ folder
3. Restart the server

Done. No extra setup required.
