Balanced Random Block Drops (26.1+)

This datapack overhauls Minecraft's loot system, making every block drop a random item when mined. Just install, reload, and experience a fresh, unpredictable survival challenge.

Features

• Latest Version Support: Fully compatible with Minecraft Java Edition 26.1+

• Balanced Progression: Features a weighted tier system so the game remains playable. You won't find Netherite in every dirt block, but the excitement of a rare drop is always there!

  • Common (70%): Building blocks, basic resources, and common items.
  • Uncommon (20%): Iron tier gear, useful food, and mid range materials.
  • Rare (8%): Gold, Diamonds, Emeralds, and specialized utility items.
  • Epic (1.5%): Ancient Debris, Totems, Elytras, and Shulker Shells.
  • Legendary (0.5%): Netherite Ingots, Beacons, Tridents, and the new Heavy Core.

• Multiplayer Ready: Works flawlessly in singleplayer and on dedicated servers.

Installation

1. Download the balanced_random_block_drop_v2.zip file.

2. Navigate to your Minecraft world folder and place the zip in the datapacks directory.

3. Launch the world or run the /reload command if already in game.

4. Start mining and discover what the world has to offer!

Notes

• Weighted Randomization: Drops are calculated dynamically using weighted loot tables to ensure a balanced gameplay experience.

• Vanilla Focus: This pack overrides vanilla block loot tables. Modded blocks are currently not affected.

• Safe Removal: You can remove the datapack at any time without risking world corruption.
