AFKGuard is a lightweight and reliable AFK detection plugin built for modern Minecraft servers that want fair rewards without abuse. It accurately distinguishes real inactivity from macro use, environmental movement, and accidental player input, ensuring only legitimate AFK time is rewarded. Designed with performance and compatibility in mind, AFKGuard works seamlessly on Java servers with Bedrock support.

This plugin provides precise state tracking, moving players through ACTIVE, IDLE, and AFK states based on configurable rules. Rewards can be granted globally, per world, or within specific regions, allowing server owners full control over where and how AFK rewards apply. WorldGuard integration enables advanced region-based behavior without adding unnecessary overhead.

AFKGuard includes flexible UI options for displaying AFK countdowns, supporting either a BossBar or a Subtitle-based display. The Subtitle mode is optimized for Java & Bedrock players and avoids flickering issues common with other plugins. All UI behavior, thresholds, and reward logic are fully configurable and can be reloaded without restarting the server.

Built to be efficient, AFKGuard runs on a lightweight one-second tick loop and includes clean handling for player joins and quits to prevent memory leaks or stale data.
