Container Core

Container Core lets you reshape Minecraft's inventory and container screens by editing simple text files, so, no modding experience required. 'Chests, the crafting table, the anvil, the creative menu, and more' can all be restyled, rearranged, or reimagined without touching a line of Java :D i'm finally close to a release

Just imagine it: the GIF below shows your character (can be your mounted animal or any mob) that turns to face your cursor. It's the usual mob preview you see in the survival
inventory, but you control where it sits and what mob to use, at any screen, mid game, all from a json text file. (the gif is from a very old version)

It's easy to use

• You don't need to be a developer. Everything is plain JSON inside a resource pack. Move a slot, change a panel, drop in sprites, simply by editing text. (Screens without a json file open as vanilla.)
• Changes show up instantly. Press F3+T in-game and your edits just reload, it just works.
• It gets along with other packs. Textures and objects stack cleanly, so your tweaks can sit alongside other resource packs.
• Lots to build with. some ready-made widgets and simple elements, there's even layouts for all ~23 vanilla container types inside [Vanilla Defaults].

For mod developers

You know authors get the JSON layer, but the engine opens up if you're writing a mod, from your code you can register new objects and elements, define custom show/hide conditions, and add new container screens all through Container Core's Java API. That means an add-on mod can contribute its own objects for pack authors to drop into JSON, and other mods can drive their own menus through it. (A few already do see below.)

Already using Container Core

A few projects build on it:

• Vanilla Defaults by Dcqout - reworks vanilla through JSONs you can edit, use it as a template for this mod.
• Fletching by Dcqout - uses it for the Fletching table.
• Inventory+ by Dcqout - not yet ready, but it's a texture pack using this mod, some people can't play without it anymore(me included 😅)

What is to come

For now only a beta 2 preview is released, i'm holding the next version til my mod that let's you expand the inventory size is reviewed.
