Accurate Block Hitboxes

Accurate Block Hitboxes creates selection outlines directly from visible block models. Block orientation, state, connections, and open or closed variants are handled automatically.

• Pixel-accurate transparency for plants and other cross-face models
• True diagonal surfaces without staircase-like approximations
• Thin 2D hitboxes with a thickness of 0.5 texture pixels
• Support for models with a 3D base and additional 2D parts
• Seamless outlines for doors, tall plants, beds, and other multi-block structures
• Optional updates based on the currently visible frame of animated textures
• Separate Vanilla hitbox whitelist to reduce flickering target switches
• Projectiles can pass through model holes when their center ray fits through the gap
• Configurable projectile hole pass-through support

Configuration

YACL can be used to configure the mod, 2D and 3D support, animated textures, additional model parts, and seamless connections. A block blacklist and a Vanilla hitbox whitelist are also available.

Notes

• Player and entity collision remains unchanged; projectiles use the model center ray for supported block holes.
• Block entity renderers are currently excluded.
• minecraft:tall_seagrass is blacklisted by default because animated geometry can be expensive to rebuild.
• Vanilla is the current primary target. Resource packs and modded baked models may work, but are not fully guaranteed yet.
