EatReminder is the smallest possible nudge to eat before vanilla starts punishing you. When your hunger drops to 6 or less and you are not holding any food, the mod fires a one-shot alert; it goes quiet the moment you pick up something edible or your hunger recovers.

What it does

• Watches your hunger on every client tick and your main and off hands for any item with the minecraft:food data component (vanilla and modded food alike).
• When hunger drops to 6 or below and neither hand holds food:
  • A short pickup sound plays once.
  • An action-bar message above the hotbar: "Time to eat! Hunger: N".
  • A persistent badge in the top-left of the HUD: "Time to eat (N)" — turns red and reads "Eat NOW (N)" once you reach 2 or below.
• The sound and message re-fire only when hunger drops further, so it does not spam you while you are already starving.
• The badge disappears the moment your hunger recovers or you put food in either hand.

Controls

• H — toggle the reminder on/off.

Notes

• Pure client-side — install on your client only. Works on any Fabric server, fully vanilla compatible.
• Detects any food via the data component, including modded food items.
• The HUD badge respects F1 (hide HUD).
• No config files, no dependencies beyond Fabric API.
