Rattlebox : Know before you open
Shake the box. Skip the rummage.
Rattlebox is a preview-first client utility for storage. Look at a chest or barrel and see what’s inside before you click. Hover a shulker or ender inventory for a content grid. When you’ve lost something in the base, open search, find the item across all of your storage, and follow a waypoint back to the hit.
How modes work

On a normal SMP that doesn’t install Rattlebox server-side, expect CACHED: open the chest once, close it, then search finds what you remembered. That’s intentional, not a broken live sync.
Controls
- H — open stash search
- J — toggle look-at / overlay preview
Keybinds are remappable in Controls.
You can change the mod setting by pressing H and clicking on gear icon from top right

Honest notes
- Preview and search cover supported storage (chests, barrels, shulkers, ender, and similar container items as implemented), not every block in the game.
- CACHED multiplayer only knows containers you’ve opened (or otherwise indexed) since the cache was built.
- Rattlebox pairs fine with general HUDs like Jade; it does not replace them.
