Dying in-game gets a serious shake-up with this mod. Instead of just respawning, you're instantly teleported to the Nether roof.
Once you're up there, the challenge is on: you have to track down a naturally spawning soul campfire. Give that fire a right-click, and you'll be zapped right back to your spawn point.

It's a great little addition for servers that want a genuine time penalty for dying, making survival a bit more intense.

If it gets too tough, no worries—you can switch this feature on or off using the standard gamerules.
