Smart-Auto-Reconnect

Client-side Fabric mod that automatically reconnects you after an involuntary disconnect - a server kick, connection timeout, or dropped connection - and never when you disconnect yourself on purpose.

How it works

On an involuntary disconnect, it waits 30 seconds and tries to reconnect to the same server. If that attempt fails, it waits 50 seconds and tries again, then 70, 90, and 110 - five attempts total - before giving up and letting you know. Each wait is timed from when an attempt actually finishes (success or failure), not from when it started, so a slow or hanging connection attempt against a struggling server doesn't eat into the next attempt's countdown.

A voluntary disconnect (clicking Disconnect from the pause menu) is never treated as something to reconnect from.

Notifications

Choose between toast-only notifications, or toasts plus extra controls added directly to the disconnect screen: a live countdown showing the current attempt number and time remaining, a Cancel Auto-Reconnect button, and a Reconnect Now button that either skips the current wait or fires a single extra attempt if the sequence already gave up. A "Cancel reconnect attempts" keybind is also available for stopping a sequence from anywhere.

Works with Smart Auto Attack and Smart Auto Mine

If either of those mods was active when the disconnect happened, it automatically resumes once this mod gets you back into the world - no need to manually re-enable it after a scripted reconnect.

Only applies to direct-connect/server-list multiplayer; Realms and LAN worlds are intentionally out of scope, since there's no meaningful "reconnect" for either.

Requires Fabric API and Cloth Config; Mod Menu is optional.
