Better Hardcore is a datapack that aims to increase the general game difficulty to be harder. Perfect for those who think Minecraft no longer feels hard anymore!

⚠️ ATTENTION. This data pack is dependent on its Resource Pack! ⚠️

⚙️ Installation Guide

1. Prepare the creation of a new world in hardcore mode.
2. Select data packs, open the temporary drop file folder and drop the _BHDP.zip file there. Then, enable it.
3. Open resource packs from settings, click on add a new resource pack and drop the _BHRP.zip file. Then, enable it.
4. Start the creation of the new world with Better Hardcore loaded in. You should receive a message when entering the game.
5. Have fun!

What does this data pack add?

? MOB CHANGES OVERVIEW

• All general mobs are stronger, faster and better.
• Creepers' fuse time is much lower.
• Pillagers now have quick charge III and multishot crossbows, and skeletons power II bows.
• Spiders are really fast, create cobwebs on first-time player collision and on death.
• The creaking does a lot of damage compared to vanilla, which makes it much more similar to the Warden.
• Phantoms are now a literal nightmare.

✨ POWERFUL ENEMY STATE

• They are overpowered enemies that have much more life and show cool particles.
• Drop Powerful Relics, which can be used to temporally get maximum energy.

?️ PLAYER CHANGES

• The default health is five hearts, but it can be upgraded with Life Lights, a new item.
• The addition of Energy, which nerfs running and jumping.

?️ WORLD & MISC CHANGES

• Extremely dark caves. Don't use gamma, cheater!
• Encountering Life Lights to regenerate maximum health back to normal.
• Trading with villagers will begin a raid after trading many times.

Tips & Tricks to Survive more than a day!

RECOMMENDED IF YOU HAVE TROUBLES ON THE FIRST DAY!

• Every minute is useful.
• Stay away from the caves close to you and anywhere dark a mob could spawn.
• Avoid the underground until you are really well protected with the armor you can get.
• Go to Ancient Cities and try to find Life Lights on chests to recover health. Trial Chambers and Treasure Bastions are also an option, however they have more hostile mobs.
• Craft torches in campfires with sticks to light up the place.
• Defeat Powerful Mobs to have maximum energy for a period of time.
• Always sleep; a single phantom can be deadly if unprepared.
• Settle in ocean, or biomes with fewer hostile mobs.
• Totems of Undying are and will be your best friend.
