Lossy Chat works like your usual "local/global chat" mod with a twist: messages at various distances have a chance to be corrupted while going really far away hides them completely

Hovering on signal strength indicator shows strength for closest recipient and the number of them in total:

Optionally (on the server side) you can also let people see original messages by hovering on them:
