Create Nuclear Ore Gen Tweaks

A small NeoForge addon for Create Nuclear that makes uranium, lead, and striated ore-deposit generation configurable.

It does not add new ores and does not replace Create Nuclear's configured features. Instead, it overrides the corresponding placed features and reads placement settings from a NeoForge common config when new chunks are generated.

Features

• Configure uranium ore placement attempts per chunk.
• Configure lead ore placement attempts per chunk.
• Configure how rare Create Nuclear's large striated deposits are.
• Configure minimum and maximum generation height for each deposit type.
• Choose one of four vertical distributions:
  • uniform
  • trapezoid
  • biased_to_bottom
  • very_biased_to_bottom
• Built-in config screen through the NeoForge Mods menu.
• Keeps Create Nuclear/Create's own config_filter, so their ore-generation toggle still applies.

Tested with Create Nuclear 1.3.2-beta.3.

Install the mod on both the server and clients in multiplayer.

Configuration

Open:

Mods → Create Nuclear Ore Gen Tweaks → Config

Or edit:

config/cnoregen-common.toml

Restart the game or server after editing the file directly. Changes affect only chunks generated after the new settings are loaded. Existing chunks are not regenerated.

Default values

count controls placement attempts, not the number of ore blocks inside a vein. Vein shape and size remain controlled by Create Nuclear's configured features.

For striated deposits, rarity = 18 means one placement attempt for approximately every 18 chunks. Larger values make them rarer.

How it works

The addon replaces these Create Nuclear placed-feature data files:

createnuclear:uranium_ore
createnuclear:lead_ore
createnuclear:striated_ores_overworld

The replacement data uses three lightweight placement modifiers registered by this addon:

• cnoregen:config_count — reads the configured attempts per chunk.
• cnoregen:config_rarity — reads the configured one-in-N chance.
• cnoregen:config_height — reads the configured height range and distribution.

The original configured features, ore blocks, vein definitions, and Create config filter are left intact.
