Payback Core

Payback Core is a plugin that introduces a death debt system, making survival more challenging, intense, and engaging.

Every death has consequences. When a player dies, they gain “debt” that applies debuffs. The more deaths, the weaker the player becomes.

To remove debt, players must:

kill other players
complete quests

This creates a balance between risk and recovery, while encouraging PvP and adding meaningful progression.

Quests

Use the command:

/quest

The player receives a random quest.

Quest types:

Easy — removes 1 debt
Medium — removes 1 debt
Hard — removes 2 debt
Players with higher debt have a higher chance of receiving easier quests.

Quests:

have a cooldown
refresh every 45 minutes of online playtime
PvP System
Killing a player removes 1 debt
If the killer has no debt, nothing happens
The killed player gains +1 debt

The same player can only count once within a certain time period (anti-abuse system).

Data Saving

All player data is automatically saved:

quests
current debt

Progress is NOT lost after leaving the server.
