Village Militia Mod — Feature Guide & Documentation

Getting Started

Village Militia Spawn Egg

• Location: Located at the very end of the vanilla Spawn Eggs creative tab.
• Cost-Efficient Recruitment: Activating the militia via Sneak (Shift) + Right-Click with an Iron Helemt on an unemployed villager will not consume your sword! (Free weapon licensing!)

Command Modes

Hold an Emerald and (Shift) + Right-Click with a militia member to switch between the following modes. A distinct particle effect will appear around their feet to show their active mode instantly:

Cavalry & Transport Mechanics

• Cavalry Mounting Conditions: A militia will automatically mount a horse if the horse meets three strict conditions:
  1. It has no current passengers.
  2. It is already saddled.
  3. It is not currently leashed.
• Forced Dismount Command: If a militia is currently riding a horse, you can order them to dismount instantly by Sneak (Shift) + Right-Clicking them with an empty hand.
• Tactical Leashing (Troop Transport): Once the militia is mounted, you can attach a lead to the horse. This allows you to drag both the horse and the militia together, making long-distance relocation a breeze!

Equipment Customization & Arsenal

• Weapon Swapping: You can swap the militia's weaponry at any time! Just Sneak (Shift) + Right-Click them while holding a weapon to equip them.
• Unequipping Gear: Sneak + Right-Click a militia with a Stick to immediately unequip and drop all weapons and armor they are wearing.
• Expanded Arsenal: They now fully support wielding and firing Crossbows, alongside standard melee weapons!

Combat AI & Special Interactions

• Advanced Combat AI: Features smart positioning, directional strafing, tactical retreats, and timely shield-blocking to make your villagers viable combatants instead of punching bags.
• Hero of the Village: When you approach with the Hero of the Village effect, nearby militia will salute you!
