UHCMEETUP

UHCMEETUP is a complete UHC deathmatch plugin built for Paper 1.21.11.

Players join a queue, vote for a game mode, receive randomized kits, and fight inside a shrinking world border until only one player or team remains. Every match uses a freshly generated world, so the arena never needs to be reset by hand.

Play classic solo UHC, choose from several team presets, fight entirely in the Nether, or enable Legendary mode with 26 built-in artifacts.

Game Modes

Overworld

The standard UHCMEETUP experience.

Players fight in a newly generated Overworld using randomized kits, golden heads, tracking compasses, kill rewards, and a continuously shrinking border.

Nether

The entire match takes place in the Nether.

Nether mode includes several gameplay changes:

• Water can be placed in the Nether
• Beds do not explode
• Nether portal travel is blocked
• Natural health regeneration remains disabled
• Players receive food, bottles, sugar, redstone, and a golden head
• Mining three Nether Gold Ore rewards one golden apple
• Custom Nether generation and modified bastion loot

Legendary

A high-power UHC mode built around 26 integrated artifacts.

Every player starts with:

• 40 maximum health — 20 hearts
• Two random artifacts
• Arrows when an artifact bow or crossbow is selected
• Detailed artifact instructions in the item lore
• Action-bar cooldown information
• Vanilla-style hotbar cooldown overlays

Shields are disabled by default in Legendary mode, but this can be changed in the configuration.

Awakened artifacts are not included.

Artifact abilities work from either hand where appropriate, ignore teammates, and include visible cooldown feedback.

Solo and Team Presets

Players are distributed automatically between teams. Teammates spawn near each other, cannot damage one another, and are excluded from tracking and hostile artifact targeting.

The server capacity automatically follows the selected preset. New connections are rejected when the preset is full.

Match Flow

1. Players enter the queue with /join
2. The countdown begins after enough players join
3. Players vote for Overworld, Nether, or Legendary mode
4. A fresh match world is generated
5. Players receive their kits and grace-period protection
6. The border begins shrinking
7. The last living player or team wins
8. The match world is cleaned up automatically

Operators can skip voting and force a mode when needed.

Player Commands

Administrator Commands

Administrator commands require the uhcmeetup.admin permission, which is granted to operators by default.

Installation

1. Install Paper 1.21.11 with Java 21.
2. Place the UHCMEETUP JAR inside the server's plugins directory.
3. Start the server once to generate the configuration files.
4. Configure a dedicated lobby world and match world.
5. Restart the server after completing the configuration.

The bundled datapack is installed and validated automatically during startup.

Important: UHCMEETUP deletes and regenerates the configured match world between matches. Never configure your lobby, survival world, or any permanent world as the match world.
