Bring back the classic Cod from before the Update Aquatic (1.13)!

Many mods either replace Minecraft's current cod or add lots of extra fish that you may not want. I wanted something much simpler, so I created a standalone mod that adds only the old Cod from before Minecraft 1.13.

If you've missed the original cod and just want it back without changing the rest of the game, this mod is for you.

Raw Old Cod → Cooked Old Cod
? Old Cod Spawn Egg

You can craft an Old Cod Spawn Egg using either:

? 1 × Raw Old Cod

or

?️ 1 × Cooked Old Cod

This makes it easy to spawn Old Cod in creative builds or testing worlds.

❤️ Why I Made This Mod

I made this mod because I noticed that most mods that bring back the old cod either replace Minecraft's current cod or add lots of extra fish and features that many players don't actually want.

I wanted a simple standalone mod that brings back the classic pre-1.13 Old Cod and nothing more.

⚠️ Version Support Notice

As of this release:

✅ All of my new standalone mods are being developed for Fabric 26.1.2.
❌ I will not be backporting this mod or future standalone mods to Minecraft 1.20.1.
✅ My Minecraft 1.20.1 modpacks are NOT discontinued and may still receive updates.
