Universal Compass (万界罗盘)

A single compass mod for Minecraft Forge 1.20.1 that locates biomes, structures, and mobs — all from one item, one GUI.

Features

• Three search modes in one item: biome, structure, and mob.
• Biome search: coarse noise sampling (aligned with Nature's Compass: 64-block step, hard-capped samples, zero chunk loading, off-thread) — finds most biomes in 1–2s without freezing.
• Structure search: chunk-spiral checkStructurePresence spread across server ticks (~8ms/tick budget) so the main thread never freezes; uses placement-aware candidate search (same as /locate) for RandomSpread structures.
• Mob search: locates mobs within already-loaded chunks (an honest "loaded-range" search, not full-world).
• HUD pointer + progress: shows direction and a live search-progress percentage.
• Known-target cache: remembers found targets across game sessions.
• Zero hard dependencies: works standalone; optionally accelerates when BiomeSpy is present (auto-detected, routes to findClosestBiome3d).

Usage

Right-click the compass to open the GUI. Pick a mode tab, choose a target from the list, and the compass points toward it.

Compatibility

• Minecraft Forge 1.20.1 (Forge 47+).
• Optional: BiomeSpy (server-side) for faster biome/structure lookup.
