Suspicious Blocks

Suspicious Blocks expands familiar Minecraft blocks and entities with unusual hidden behaviors while keeping a mostly vanilla-style appearance.

The mod is designed around the idea that ordinary objects may contain unexpected mechanics. More suspicious blocks and features may be added in future updates.

Current Features

Suspicious Composter

• Adds a suspicious interaction to the vanilla composter.
• Includes an interactable bottom section.
• Designed to blend naturally with the original Minecraft block.

End Rod Coatings

End rods can be coated with several different materials, giving them special behaviors and visual variations.

Current coatings include:

• Blaze Rod
• Stick / Stripped Wood
• Bamboo
• Cactus
• Pointed Dripstone
• Lightning Rod

Sentient Armor Stands

Armor stands may gradually develop sentience after remaining in the world for several in-game days.

Sentient armor stands can:

• Wander around the world.
• Panic and run away from danger.
• Play a custom panic sound.
• Hide their base plate while moving.
• Avoid liquids and dangerous terrain.
• React to nearby creatures and players.
• Transfer worn equipment to compatible humanoid mobs.
• Disguise themselves as normal armor stands.
• Return to life under special conditions.

Armor stands can also be waxed with honeycomb to prevent them from developing sentience.

Nearby black cats suppress sentient armor stand behavior.

Configuration

Many armor stand mechanics can be changed through the configuration file, including:

• Sentience chance.
• Revival chance.
• Wandering speed.
• Panic speed.
• Disguise cooldown.
• Sound volume, pitch, and range.
• Behavior durations and detection ranges.

Commands

Administrator commands are included for testing armor stand states and behaviors.
