Chikiwapis Economy

Chikiwapis Economy is a Fabric economy mod designed for survival multiplayer servers. It combines persistent digital balances, player-to-player payments, configurable jobs, a graphical server shop, physical currency, banking, leaderboards, and integration tools for other mods in a single economy system.

The economy is designed around normal Minecraft progression. Players can earn money through jobs, spend it in the graphical shop, transfer funds to other players, or withdraw their digital balance as physical coins and banknotes for trading and roleplay.

All monetary values are stored internally as integer cents using long, avoiding floating-point rounding errors and keeping transactions precise.

Features

Persistent Economy

Persistent balances linked to player UUIDs.

Accurate cent-based monetary storage.

Thousands separators and two-decimal formatting.

Direct payments between players.

Validation against insufficient funds and invalid transactions.

Administrative tools for adding, removing, and setting balances.

Persistent economy data across server restarts.

Player Jobs

Players can choose a profession and earn money through normal survival gameplay:

Hunter — Earn money by defeating configured mobs.

Miner — Earn money by mining configured ores and blocks.

Lumberjack — Earn money by cutting configured logs and wood.

Farmer — Earn money by harvesting configured crops.

Builder — Earn money by placing configured building blocks.

The job system includes:

Graphical chest-based job selection.

Commands for joining, leaving, and checking jobs.

Persistent job selections.

Job-switch cooldowns.

Individually configurable rewards.

Support for positive rewards and configured penalties.

Anti-exploit tracking for blocks placed by players.

Builder position tracking to prevent repeatedly breaking and replacing blocks for unlimited rewards.

Graphical Server Shop

The /shop command opens a chest-based shop interface with:

Multiple product categories.

Paginated product menus.

Purchase confirmation screens.

Quantity controls for individual and bulk purchases.

Inventory-space validation.

Clear price and transaction information.

Quick Sell support.

Category-based Quick Sell filtering.

Separate buying and selling prices.

Current categories include:

Blocks

Minerals

Farming

Mob Drops

Tools and Weapons

Armor

Alchemy and Potions

Special Items

Shop prices are designed around the server economy and job rewards rather than Minecraft's vanilla item rarity alone.

Physical Currency

Chikiwapis Economy includes real inventory items representing physical money.

Players can carry, stack, trade, deposit, and withdraw physical currency.

Coins

$0.01

$0.05

$0.10

$0.50

$1.00

Banknotes

$10

$20

$50

$100

$500

$1,000

Physical currency supports exact change and uses the largest available denominations whenever possible.

The system checks inventory capacity before giving physical money, including available space inside existing currency stacks. Transactions are rejected when the full amount cannot safely fit in the player's inventory.

Physical currency is backed by the same economy as digital balances. Withdrawing money does not create additional funds, and depositing money does not duplicate existing funds.

Banking

Players can convert between digital and physical money through the bank system.

Commands

/bank balance

Displays:

Digital balance

Physical cash

Combined total

/bank withdraw

Converts digital balance into physical coins and banknotes.

Example:

/bank withdraw 1500

withdraws $1,500.00.

/bank deposit

Removes the requested amount of physical currency and adds it to the player's digital balance.

/bank deposit all

Deposits all physical currency currently carried by the player.

Bank transactions validate available funds, inventory capacity, and the maximum allowed digital balance before completing the operation.

Physical Currency Commands

Regular players can check how much physical cash they are carrying:

/currency balance

Administrative physical-currency commands are available under:

/currency admin give
/currency admin take

These commands are intended for administration and testing rather than normal economic gameplay.

Economy Leaderboard

Chikiwapis Economy can maintain a leaderboard of the richest players.

Features include:

Top player balances.

Correct cent-based monetary formatting.

Stored player names for offline leaderboard entries.

Integration with in-world hologram systems.

Hologram display functionality depends on the hologram solution configured by the server owner.

Sidebar HUD

The mod includes a server-controlled sidebar showing useful economy information such as:

Player name

Digital balance

Current job

Online player count

The server name and server address displayed by the sidebar can be configured by the server owner, including the option to hide them.

Public Integration API

Chikiwapis Economy provides a public API intended for integration with other Fabric mods.

External mods can interact with:

Digital balances

Physical balances

Deposits

Withdrawals

Physical payments

Physical payouts

Purchase transactions

Transaction results and failure states

This makes it possible to build systems such as NPC shops, physical markets, custom merchants, rewards, or other gameplay mechanics without directly modifying Chikiwapis Economy's internal managers.

All API monetary amounts are expressed in integer cents.

For example:

50_000L

represents:

$500.00

Installation

Server

Install a compatible Fabric server.

Install Fabric API.

Place Chikiwapis Economy in the server's mods directory.

Start the server.

Check the server log to confirm that the mod loaded successfully.

Example:

server/
└── mods/
├── fabric-api-.jar
└── chikiwapis-economy-.jar

After installation, commands such as:

/balance
/jobs
/shop
/bank balance

can be used to verify the main systems.

Currency Assets

Physical coins and banknotes use custom models and textures.

The currency includes dedicated assets for all twelve denominations and is designed to visually represent each coin and banknote as its own item.

Java and Bedrock use different resource formats. Servers using Geyser should provide the appropriate Bedrock resource pack and custom-item mappings if they want Bedrock players to see the intended physical currency models.

Bedrock / Geyser

Chikiwapis Economy is designed with mixed Java and Bedrock servers in mind.

Geyser and Floodgate are not required dependencies of the mod itself.

Servers that allow Bedrock connections through Geyser can use the economy systems, but custom physical currency requires additional Bedrock-side resource and item mapping configuration.

A Java resource pack is not automatically equivalent to a Bedrock resource pack.

Configuration and Persistent Data

The mod stores economy and gameplay information persistently, including:

Player balances

Job selections

Job cooldowns

Job rewards

Anti-exploit block tracking

Builder placement tracking

Known player names

Job rewards can be configured by server owners.

Sidebar branding can also be configured, allowing the server name and address to be customized or hidden.

Always stop the server before manually replacing or modifying persistent economy data.

FAQ

Why is money stored as cents?

Using integer cents prevents floating-point rounding errors.

For example:

$25.50 = 2550
$0.01 = 1
$1,000.00 = 100000

Internally these values are stored as long.

Does withdrawing physical money create additional money?

No.

Withdrawing converts existing digital balance into physical currency.

Depositing removes physical currency and converts it back into digital balance.

Can players trade physical money directly?

Yes. Coins and banknotes are inventory items, so they can be transferred between players like other items.

Can another mod use the economy?

Yes. Chikiwapis Economy provides a public integration API for other Fabric mods.

External mods should use the public API instead of accessing internal economy managers directly.

Can Bedrock players see the custom coins and banknotes?

The economy can be integrated with Geyser servers, but custom items require Bedrock-compatible mappings and resource-pack assets.

Java resource assets are not automatically converted for Bedrock.

Is the source code public?

Yes. The project source is publicly available and licensed under the MIT License.

Can I include the mod in a modpack?

Yes. Distribution and modification are permitted under the terms of the MIT License.
