Heavy Core is a heavy weapon expansion mod exclusively for NeoForge 1.21.8 that adds greatswords, heavy dumbbells, weighted tridents, the full compression sledgehammer series, various super bows and the buff-providing consumable heavy apple; it features a weight-linked damage system where all heavy weapons deal massive base damage at the cost of slightly reduced movement speed, compression sledgehammers deliver area-of-effect crowd control damage, weighted tridents work well both on land and underwater, super bows grant long-range high damage output, and eating a heavy apple temporarily grants a strength boost while eliminating movement speed penalties from heavy gear, this mod adds no new terrain or mobs and does not alter vanilla core mechanics, runs stably in both single-player and multiplayer servers, allows full customization of all weapon damage values, movement speed penalties and buff durations via config files, boasts a lightweight design with minimal performance overhead, all gear can be crafted using vanilla resources, perfectly fixes the problem of weak late-game vanilla weapons and offers a wide variety of high-burst melee and ranged combat options suitable for casual survival worlds and hardcore challenge servers alike
