Inspired by Quark, this mod aims to create a high‑quality “Parasites+” mod for Scape & Run: Parasites (SRP). Its core philosophy is to enrich the gameplay with countless small, thoughtful improvements — while fully respecting the original style and balance of SRP.
· Vanilla Fidelity – The features added by this mod feel like natural extensions of SRP itself. As the author paraphrases Vazkii’s famous words: “Things I would add if I were hired by the SRP Dev.” Nothing feels out of place or disrupts the vanilla SRP experience.
· Fully Modular (Work in Progress) – Every feature is an independent module. Players can enable or disable any feature freely through an in‑game configuration GUI. This visual config menu will also be extended to manage SRP’s own configuration options. Moreover, the mod plans to bring the configuration files of major SRP add‑ons (such as SRPE, SRPDSD, SRPCC) under the same modular management system.
· Systematic Design – The name “Calamity Catastrophe Cataclysm” symbolises disasters from different eras of history. All features of this mod fall into one of these three categories: a large number of genuinely useful items, additions to vanilla parasite content, more parasite‑themed weapons and equipment, a complete set of parasite‑themed furniture, and numerous small optimizations that blend seamlessly into the game.
· Extensibility – Just like the relationship between Quark and Quark Oddities, this mod separates highly interesting but less “vanilla‑SRP” content into independent add‑ons. Currently, there is an add‑on for the Twilight Forest (SRPT). More add‑ons are planned, covering topics such as industry, cuisine, ACG, and botany.
· Democratic Development – The mod provides multiple channels for suggestions, including the mod’s comment section, official Discord server, rednote, and Gitee. Players can submit ideas for improvements or creative parasite‑related concepts. All suggestions will be collected and made public. The final decision on whether to include a suggestion lies in the hands of the player community. Any player is welcome to contribute their valuable opinions!
In short, this mod is ultimately meant to feel like it was always a part of SRP.
