Distributing custom BBS content to players has never been easier!

BBS Extended Server Sync is a lightweight and powerful Fabric/Forge-compatible mod that allows server administrators to automatically synchronize their custom content (skins, models, sounds) with all players.

When a player joins your server, all the required BBS assets are automatically downloaded to their client — no commands needed. Everything is synced seamlessly, ensuring that everyone sees the same content instantly.

Key Features ✨

• Automatic Integration: Once installed, the mod automatically downloads and updates all server assets for joining players.
• Custom Content Support: Synchronizes skins, models, and sound files with full BBS compatibility.
• Skin Management:
  • /getskin name <playerName> – Instantly syncs the selected player’s Mojang skin with everyone.
  • /getskin url "https://www.example.com/skin.png" filename – Downloads a skin from a URL and applies it server-wide.
• Model Synchronization:
  • All server models are distributed automatically upon join.
  • If new models are added after players have joined, they can reload them with /bbs model reload.
  • Players can upload new models with /bbs model upload, requiring server-owner approval via /bbs model accept <playerName>.
  • Use /bbs model upload --force to overwrite or resend all models from scratch.
• Asynchronous Transfers: Skins and models are now handled through a fully asynchronous pipeline — improving performance, reliability, and stability. Uploads are tracked and recover gracefully, even with large files.

How to Use ?️

1. Installation: Install the mod on both the server and all clients.
2. Adding Files: Place your custom assets (skins, models, sounds) in the config/bbs/assets folder of the server.
3. Automatic Sync: When players join, the files are automatically synced to their config/bbs/assets directory.
4. Commands:
   • /bbs model reload – Re-sync assets after changes.
   • /getskin <playerName> – Fetch and sync a Mojang skin.
   • /getskin url <skin_url> filename – Sync a skin from a custom URL.

Compatibility

• Fully tested and stable on Minecraft 1.20.1.
• Minecraft 1.20.4 support is unverified — stability cannot be guaranteed.
• For Forge, the mod requires Sinytra Connector.

• This mod is an addon for Blockbuster Studio (BBS) and requires BBS to work.
