SCP Additions is an SCP survival horror and facility-building mod for Minecraft. Inspired by SCP: Containment Breach and SCP Unity, it combines functional SCPs and containment machinery with a custom inventory, survival systems, keycard security, animated doors, and a large collection of facility-building content.
Gameplay Features ## Inventory SCP Additions includes a complete Survival Horror inventory interface inspired by SCP Unity with multiple specialized storage categories. Items can be moved, equipped, used, dropped, or stored through a custom interface designed around limited resources and deliberate preparation. Vanilla and modded items are automatically recognized whenever possible, making the system work naturally across larger modpacks. ## Status The Status panel gathers your condition, including active effects, health, armor, stamina, combat attributes, and blood type. ## Crafting In the Crafting tab you can craft items in a 3x3 grid. Crafted items will be remembered as Recipes and you may pin important ones to be more easily used again. ## Codex The Codex turns documents into collectible records with custom text and images. It can be used for SCP files, personnel reports, photographs, maps, story entries, or any other document needed by a custom facility or adventure map. ## Contextual Interactions SCP Additions includes a contextual interaction system for blocks and entities. Configured objects can display SCP Unity-styled prompts, icons, and other conditions. Dropped items display a pickup prompt by default. ## Health, Stamina, and Horror Movement Custom health and stamina displays replace the usual HUD with a presentation inspired by SCP Unity. Walking is slower, sprinting is more committed, and stamina becomes an important resource while escaping threats or crossing dangerous areas. ## Blink and Eye Effects Players need to blink when near SCP-173. ## In-Game Configuration Center The major systems of SCP Additions can be customized through a dedicated SCP Unity-inspired interface inside the game. It includes editors for gameplay modules, inventory behavior, Codex documents, interactions, SCP-294 drinks, SCP-914 refinements, and more. All gameplay modules listed above can be disabled individually inside of it. The deeper configuration reference is available in the [official Wiki](https://github.com/Bl4ues/SCP-Additions/wiki). Facility Features ## SCP Unity-Inspired Building Set The mod introduces a large collection of SCP Unity-inspired facility blocks and decorations. The set includes walls, floors, directional markings, ventilation pieces, lights, heaters, terminals, televisions, signs, props, and themed blocks for several facility sectors. ## Animated Facility Doors SCP Additions includes multiple animated doors inspired by SCP Unity. ## Keycards and Readers SCP Additions includes six keycard clearance levels with colors based on the [Anomaly Classification System](https://scp-wiki.wikidot.com/anomaly-classification-system-guide): **Level 1:** Unrestricted **Level 2:** Restricted **Level 3:** Confidential **Level 4:** Secret **Level 5:** Top Secret **Level 6:** Cosmic Top Secret Higher-level cards can open their own clearance level and every level below it. Readers can be configured and copied with the **Screwdriver**, making it easy to build large secured facilities. ## Buttons Facility buttons provide the same door control without requiring clearance credentials. ## Tesla Gates Tesla Gates protect restricted corridors with a lethal electrical discharge. ## Tesla Gate Terminal Security Credentials grant access to a centralized terminal used to enable, disable, or place the Tesla Gate network into Emergency Override. ## Decontamination Checkpoint The Decontamination Checkpoint seals the chamber, spray a cleaning solution mist that removes active effects, and reopens when the cycle is complete. Passing through without proper eye protection may leave the player suffering from Eye Sore, which reduces time between automatic blinks. ## Hazmat Suit The Hazmat Suit provides sealed protection against environmental hazards, contaminated effects, and eye exposure. Equipping and removing it takes time and requires the player to remain still. While sealed, it restricts eating and drinking, muffles external sounds, slows movement, and increases stamina consumption.
Featured SCPs
SCP-012 — A Bad Composition (By itifamco) SCP-012 draws nearby players toward its unfinished musical composition, progressively distorting their vision and making resistance increasingly difficult. Design based on Event XK's SCP-012 Prolonged exposure causes self-inflicted injuries, severe bleeding, and eventually death. SCP-079 may open its containment and manipulate nearby facility doors to trap players within its influence. SCP-079 — Old AI SCP-079 can interfere with connected facility doors, turning the environment itself against the player. Design based on SCP:CB's SCP-079 When given System Control, it can interact with doors connected to buttons or keycard readers. It may trap players in dangerous situations by closing doors in their path while they flee from a threat, or even open doors for pursuing creatures, making facility traversal more dangerous. SCP-131-A and SCP-131-B — The Eye Pods (By Lt Masipag) SCP-131-A and SCP-131-B are friendly entities that may _look_ out for you. Design based on SCP Fountations's Wiki SCP-131 Besides their voices and curious behavior, the Eye Pods seem to have great instinct for threats. SCP-173 — The Sculpture (By Moto42) Design based on SCP Unity's SCP-173 SCP-173 remains completely still while observed and moves with lethal speed the moment every observer loses sight of it. SCP-131 can keep an eye on him for you. SCP-294 — The Coffee Machine (By Agent Jackrabbit) Type a request into SCP-294 and discover what the machine decides to pour. Design based on SCP Fountations's Wiki SCP-294 Its drinks can produce ordinary refreshments, useful effects, dangerous substances, strange reactions, and lethal surprises. The drink library is fully expandable through the in-game Configuration Center. SCP-330 — Take Only Two (By DrKondraki) A bowl of candy with one simple instruction: **"Take no more than two, please!"** The candy provides several useful effects, but ignoring the warning has severe consequences. SCP-426 — I Am a Toaster (By Flah) Hello! I am a toaster, and I affect how players perceive and describe me. SCP-572 — The Katana of Apparent Invincibility (By DrClef) SCP-572 gives its wielder an overwhelming sense of strength, confidence, and invincibility. Unfortunately, the confidence it provides is much more impressive than the weapon itself. SCP-714 — The Jaded Ring (By Arcalane) SCP-714 protects its wearer from dangerous mental influences, including the effects of SCP-012, but gradually drains their strength. Design based on SCP Fountations's Wiki SCP-714 Keeping the ring equipped progressively slows movement, darkens vision, suppresses stamina, and may eventually leave the wearer immobilized and comatose. SCP-902 — The Final Countdown (By DrEverettMann) SCP-902 is a mysterious closed box. What is inside? There must be something... What is it counting down to? SCP-914 — The Clockworks (By Dr Gears) SCP-914 can process items, entities, and players through five settings: **Rough**, **Coarse**, **1:1**, **Fine**, and **Very Fine**. SCP-914 has a custom interface with a draggable dial and a configurable recipe system. Recipes can be edited or expanded through the Configuration Center, allowing custom item transformations, non-player entity transformations, weighted outputs, chances, and machine behavior. Player refinement uses dedicated outcomes for each of the five settings. SCP-1176 — Mellified Man (By Smapti) SCP-1176 introduces the Mellified Man, its sarcophagus, anomalous honey, and outcomes influenced by the player's blood type. Design based on SCP Unity's SCP-1176 The honey may produce valuable effects or something far worse.Recommended Companion Mods These mods are not required, but they complement SCP Additions and help recreate the presentation shown in the screenshots: - **[Camerapture](https://modrinth.com/mod/camerapture)** — Custom photographs, documents, signs, and facility displays. - **[Auto HUD](https://modrinth.com/mod/autohud)** — Hides unwanted vanilla interface elements. - **[ItemPhysic](https://modrinth.com/mod/itemphysic)** — Makes dropped items rest naturally on the ground. - **[Chisels & Bits](https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/mc-mods/chisels-bits)** — Adds fine detail to facility builds. - **[Pick Up Notifier](https://modrinth.com/mod/pick-up-notifier)** — Displays collected items in the corner of the screen.

SCP Unity left a lasting impression on me. Even after its cancellation, its atmosphere, interface, and facility design inspired me to bring part of that experience into Minecraft.
Special thanks to SCP: Overtime for inspiring me to begin SCP Additions. Various facility block textures were also adapted from or inspired by SCP Unity-related blocks from its 1.16.5 version.
Thanks as well to the creators of the recommended companion mods for the tools and visual details that help complete the experience.
