Fabled Roots is a RPG-lite data pack that introduces 10 unique races and 10 diverse classes, along with new weapons, items, spells, and structures. When you first join a world or server, you’ll choose a race and class to shape your playstyle — No worries you can change them anytime down the road from the pause menu. These systems are designed to enhance the classic Minecraft loop, giving your adventure a fresh twist without getting in the way.

Players of the same race gain a minor Regeneration effect when near each other, encouraging cooperative play.

Aetherian **Light-footed skyfolk who feel right at home up high and in the breeze.** - Height: 90-110% - 30 Blocks Safe Fall Distance - -3 Armor - Hits with Spears have a chance to shoot a Wind Charge - Strength & Luck Effect above Y-Level 200 - Transmit Range: 256 Blocks - Receive Range: 128 Blocks - Crouch Ability: Slow Levitation Dunesworn **Tough desert wanderers built for heat, sandstorms, and endless horizons.** - Height: 85-95% - +3 Armor - -2 Knockback Resistance - Saturation effect for kills with a Scimitar - Strength & Luck Effect in Desert Biomes - Transmit Range: 256 Blocks - Receive Range: 128 Blocks - Crouch Ability: Dries Wet Sponges in Main-/Offhand Endling **Mysterious beings from the End, quiet, clever, and just a bit strange.** - Height: 105-120% - -50% Gravity - +50% Fall Damage Multiplier - Hits with Scythes have a chance to shoot a Shulker Bullet - Strength & Luck Effect in The End - Transmit Range: 256 Blocks - Receive Range: 128 Blocks - Crouch Ability: Applies Levitation Effect to nearby entities Frostborne **Snowy survivors who don't mind the cold and always know where to find shelter in a blizzard.** - Height: 95-105% - +10% Movement Speed - -50% Submerged Mining Speed - Kills with Clubs freeze nearby entities shortly - Strength & Luck Effect in Cold Biomes - Transmit Range: 256 Blocks - Receive Range: 128 Blocks - Crouch Ability: Applies Slowness Effect to nearby entities Moonshroud **Night-loving folk who move like shadows and feel strongest under starlight.** - Height: 85-100% - +50% Sneaking Speed - -30% Attack Damage - Throwing Knives inflict Poison damage - Strength & Luck Effect during Night Time - Transmit Range: 0 Blocks - Receive Range: 128 Blocks - Crouch Ability: Turns invisible Netherian **Fireproof and fearless, they're right at home near lava and never flinch at heat.** - Height: 90-110% - +100% Attack Knockback - -25% Attack Speed - Hits with Broadswords have a chance to shoot a Fireball - Strength & Luck Effect in The Nether - Transmit Range: 256 Blocks - Receive Range: 128 Blocks - Crouch Ability: Becomes Fire Resistant Oakhearted **Forest dwellers with calm spirits, strong roots, and a deep love for trees.** - Height: 100-110% - +50% Jump Strength - +100% Burning Time - Thrown Hatchets inflict Weakness - Strength & Luck Effect in Forest Biomes - Transmit Range: 256 Blocks - Receive Range: 128 Blocks - Crouch Ability: Applies Weakness Effect to nearby entities Orebringer **Cave explorers with a knack for mining and a backpack full of shiny stuff.** - Height: 75-90% - +3 Armor Toughness - +20% Gravity - Faster Attack Speed with Maces - Strength & Luck Effect below Y-Level 0 - Transmit Range: 256 Blocks - Receive Range: 128 Blocks - Crouch Ability: Gets Haste Effect Palehearted **Quiet and pale, they're more at home in the dark and have a soft spot for forgotten places.** - Height: 100-110% - +25% Jump Strength - -10% Attack Damage - +50% Burning Time - Absorption effect for kills with a Rapier - Strength & Luck Effect in Pale Garden Biomes - Transmit Range: 256 Blocks - Receive Range: 256 Blocks - Crouch Ability: Gets Night Vision Effect Turtlekin **Ocean travelers with sturdy shells and a laid-back love for the sea.** - Height: 85-110% - +15 Oxygen Bonus - -15% Movement Speed - Holding a Trident gives Dolphin's Grace effect - Strength & Luck Effect in Ocean Biomes - Transmit Range: 256 Blocks - Receive Range: 128 Blocks - Crouch Ability: Gets Conduit Power Effect

Archer **Quick on their feet and quicker with a bow—distance is their best friend.** - Wind Charges entities hit with a Cross-/Bow - Gains extra Exp by hitting entities with a Cross-/Bow Bard **Brings music, magic, and a bit of mischief wherever they go** - Can tap into the secret magic of Goat Horns - Gains extra Exp by using Goat Horns Builder **Loves blocks, blueprints, and turning ideas into reality** - Block Interaction Range: 6.5 - Gains extra Exp by placing blocks Cleric **Master of potions and remedies, always ready with a brew to save the day** - Clears Poison, Slowness & Weakness effects - Gains extra Exp by consuming Potions and trading with Cleric Villagers Fighter **Straightforward and tough—if it moves, they can probably punch it** - +10% Attack Damage - Gets a short Strength effect when killing an entity - Gains extra Exp by killing entities and blocking damage Hermit **Keeps to themselves, knows every cave and corner, and prefers quiet over company** - Has Strength effect as long as no Players, Villagers, Piglins or Raiders are around - Gains extra Exp when no one is around Miner **Lives for deep tunnels, rare ores, and the thrill of the dig** - +50% Block Breaking Speed - Gains extra Exp by mining Ores Rancher **Good with animals, and always has a pen full of friends** - Speed Boost while riding animals - Gains extra Exp by taming, breeding and having animals on a leash Scout **Fast, sharp-eyed, and never lost—perfect for exploring what's ahead** - Waypoint Receive Range: 256 Blocks - Looking at entities through a Spyglass makes the targets glow and slows them down - Hostile Entities within an 8 Block radius glow - Gains extra Exp when hostile entities are within an 8 Block radius Survivor **Scrappy and self-reliant, they make it through anything with just the basics** - Chance to get a small Regeneration effect when taking damage - Gains extra Exp by taking damage

?️ Technical Gibberish

Starting with v1.7 some Aspects can configured in-game by Admins/OPs. /function fabled_roots opens the config menu.

The data pack also functions as the resource pack for the needed textures and other assets. (Mod users automatically have the resources enabled)

For PaperMC users, it is recommended to set the paper.maxChatCommandInputSize property to a value between 512 and 1024. More information can be found in the PaperMC Docs. Also make sure to have allow-non-player-entities-on-scoreboards enabled in your paper configs.
