this is an alternative to waypoints in minimap mods, without the minimap part.
you can also consider this a remake of MCG.

why

same reason as the author of MCG:

I personally believe that full minimap mods add too many extra features or get in the player's way in general.

tl;dr: bloat.

support for older than 1.21.x?

MCG supports pretty much every version before 1.21.x.
