Story Mode Legacy – Recreation brings the entire universe of Minecraft: Story Mode into the classic Minecraft experience.
The goal of this project is to faithfully recreate blocks, items, mobs, structures, and mechanics inspired by the original game, while making them feel natural inside vanilla survival and adventure gameplay.

This is not just a cosmetic add-on. Every element is being carefully rebuilt: from iconic weapons and armor to rare artifacts, mysterious dimensions, and memorable enemies from the series. On top of that, the mod also includes extra and exclusive items, such as the Gauntlet of Xara and Fred, among others, to expand the experience beyond what was in the original game.

It’s important to note that the mod is still in its early stage of development. Almost everything is being recreated by a single developer (myself), with the exception of some resources that are being used with permission from their original authors (see credits). Many features are still temporary, experimental, or subject to significant changes. Items, mobs, textures, structures, and even entire systems may be improved, reworked, or completely replaced as updates roll out.

Planned content includes:

New weapons, armor, and crafting recipes.

Unique mobs and bosses with special abilities.

Custom dimensions and structures inspired by Story Mode lore.

More extra items and exclusive content created to complement the recreation.

Progressive updates to refine existing features and expand the world.

The long-term vision of Story Mode Legacy – Recreation is to build a complete and immersive recreation of Story Mode inside Minecraft, while keeping it balanced and enjoyable for survival, exploration, and adventure.

(not necessarily as a boss). There is also a possibility that the Bedrock ceiling will be recreated, but it is not guaranteed. Part 2 – Beyond Everything: will feature the Oasis, Fred’s Keep, RomeoBurg, the Romeo Challenge, and more things. The generation bug of the Order’s Temple has been “fixed.” Removed the last paintings and added a test painting (a very sad one…). ⚙️ Important Notes Some items are still in testing phases (such as the Withered Star) and may be removed or redesigned in the future. You can now obtain Smooth Stone by placing regular Stone in the Stonecutter. Regarding Sky City, its Overworld is currently being reworked — it was kept together with the main city. If you use the command /execute in smlr:sky_city ..., note that the exit portal will not appear unless you enter the dimension through the Portal Network. The SkyCity and Portal Network dimensions are large structures, so they may take a while to load (especially SkyCity, which may take 4 to 8 minutes). This delay is due to Minecraft’s own generation system, not the mod itself. If you have a low-end PC, it is highly recommended to lower your graphics settings to avoid lag or crashes. If you can't enter Sky City through the Portal Network (either due to lag or something like that) run the command /execute in smlr:skyc_city run tp youuser ~ ~ ~ Currently, there is no natural way to obtain the new Flints and Steels or to enter the Portal Network except via SkyCity’s portal or by using /execute in. However, in the next update, the Jungle Temple structure will be added — where Jesse obtains the Enchanted Flint and Steel and the story arc begins. --- ⚠️ Final Note Many things may still cause errors or bugs, so please report any issues on the Discord server’s “Bugs” channel. FAQ:

Will there be Fabric support?

No. The mod will not support Fabric, I won’t be remaking everything from scratch.

Will there be updates for 1.20.1+?

Maybe. My plan is to keep it on 1.20.1 (possibly up to 1.21.4), but I can’t guarantee future updates.
