Description

This mod adds some useful tweaks for minecraft writing and drawing by adding a new item! ink and quill!

Features

Map craft

Tired of spending four iron ingots and redstone on every piece of map? Fighting your internal logic every time a compass disappears to nowhere? I have an elegant solution for you! Now you can craft maps with ink and quill! One ink and quill holds up to 16 uses! Perfect for the Map Atlases mod!

Renaming

Ink and quill also allows you to rename name tags and paper! Simply hold the item you want to rename in one hand and the ink and quill in the other and right click. Finally you don't need an anvil to write something on a piece of paper! All this without wasting experience!

Ink obtaining

You will no longer have to search for squids to craft a writable book. Ink can be made simply from black dye. I've added another black dye craft. It can now be made from charcoal. Save your ink sacs for Farmer's Delight pasta!

Items that can be renamed with ink and quill are defined in the ink_and_quill_renameable tag via datapack.
