  Description

  This Data Pack adds a new craftable weapon to the game: Rapiers!\
  These act as a hybrid between a sword and a spear, allowing for quick close-range strikes, or slower long-range pokes\

  SHOWCASE

MECHANICS

The Rapier has a faster attack speed, but lower attack damage than a Sword

FINESSE STACKS

Dealing damage to enemies will grant you Finesse Stacks, increasing your attack range, attack damage and movement speed\
Finesse Stacks max out at 5

SWING MODE

Default mode of attack\
This is a standard sword swing which can hit multiple enemies with sweeping attacks

THRUST MODE

Activated by holding sprint or crouch\
Attack Speed is lowered\
Attack Damage and Attack Range is increased\
Attacks will use Spear Melee Mechanics instead

POWER THRUST MODE

Activated by holding sprint or crouch within 15 ticks after landing a Swing attack\
Thrust Attack Speed Penalty is removed\
Power Thrusts deal extra damage than a normal Thrust and deal extra knockback, great for setting up a Dash Attack!\
Power Thrust lasts until the 15 tick timer runs out OR until you land a hit, whichever is first

DASH MODE

Right-Clicking with any amount of Finesse Stacks will hold out the rapier in front of you like a spear and launch you forward\
Launch Velocity Increases with each Finesse Stack that you have\
Dash attacks at 5 Finesse Stacks Bypass ALL Armor/Defenses and Resistance Effects!\

The damage of a Dash Attack Depends on your Attack Damage and Movement Speed!

• Strength and Speed Potions help with getting extra damage
• Sprinting before Dashing will also increase Dash Damage

  GUARDING

  Rapiers can also block Melee Attacks when you don't have Finesse Stacks, reducing incoming damage by 40% (Projectiles, Explosions, etc are unaffected)
