The Startling Statue adds a new monster. Its history comes from the SCP universe, where it is referred to as SCP-650 also known as The Startling Statue.

This black humanoid statue appears harmless at first, always standing still when observed. However, if a player looks away, SCP-650 will appear behind its target, mimicing the behavior similar to SCP-173. Even effects like Blindness allow SCP-650 to move freely. Occasionally, the statue changes its pose to further unsettle players, making its presence even more disturbing.

● Important FaQ

Spoiler ► [OLD] What is my console spaming? Most mobs use special spawning conditions, which means that these mobs can only appear under certain conditions. If the spawning conditions work, this spam is created in the console. ► [OLD] Why can't I summon a mob? Spawning Conditions determine which conditions must be met in order to spawn certain mobs. Some mobs only spawn above Y level 60. Some below. Most mobs can only spawn in the overworld than in other dimensions. ► Why are features missing in different versions? It is recommended to play the newest versions of higher minecraft versions. Not all features of MCreator available or the same in different versions. For example: Version 1.19.2 doesn't have the feature of shield, better structure generation or custom villagers, but Version 1.20.1 does have them. ► Why can SCP-650 still move when looking at it? If you look at SCP-650, SCP-650 cannot move. However, if you stand too far away (approx. 60 blocks) the raycasting no longer works. The system behind raycasting is complicated and can sometimes lead to errors.  If there are multiple SCP-650, raycasting can also fail. ► Where does SCP-650 spawn? SCP-650 can spawn anywhere in the overworld like a normal monster. However, there can only be one instance of SCP-650. ► Does SCP-650 Mod work with SCP-131 Mod? Yes! SCP-650 mod works with the SCP-131 mod.

SCP-650 is a black humanoid statue that remains motionless when a player observes SCP-650, but once that sight is broken, it will instantly reposition itself behind it's target. While unable to attack directly, its stalking nature makes it highly unsettling. Blindness allows SCP-650 to move without restriction, similar to SCP-173. Rarely, SCP-650 changes its pose, increasing its unpredictability and psychological impact on nearby players. If a player wants to kill SCP-650, they would need a pickaxe.
