Swift Leaf Decay is a lightweight Minecraft datapack that removes leftover leaves quickly after a tree has been cut down, keeping your world clean and natural without long waiting times.

Instead of scanning the entire world, the datapack works dynamically around active players.

As the logs are removed, the process naturally progresses upward through the canopy. Once the final log is broken, the datapack detects that the leaves are no longer supported. At that point, the fast leaf decay system activates. Instead of instantly removing everything, the decay happens in short phases, spread over a few ticks. This creates a smooth and natural-looking transition rather than an abrupt disappearance. Midway through the process, the effect becomes clearly visible as large portions of leaves begin to vanish. By the end, all unsupported leaves are gone, leaving behind only the natural drops such as saplings and sticks. The result is a clean and satisfying tree-cutting experience that feels fast, but still consistent with vanilla mechanics.
