More World Events

Preview

This datapack adds random "World Events" that shake up your survival experience. Events range from helpful to absolutely chaotic, and the pack includes custom items to help you fight back against the madness.

Event System

Every 10 minutes (adjustable in admin menu), a random event triggers. You might shrink to ant size, experience zero gravity, watch your floor turn to lava, or have meteors rain from the sky. There are 9 event categories with 50+ unique variations to keep things unpredictable.

A countdown timer displays in your action bar so you know when the next chaos strikes.

Token Trials

Complete optional challenges during events to earn Event Tokens. These tokens are used to craft all the custom items in the pack.

Choose from three difficulty tiers with /trigger mwe.token.difficulty set <1-3>. Normal tasks reward 1 token, Hard tasks reward 3, and Challenge tasks reward 5. Track your progress with /trigger mwe.task.

Custom Items ## Custom Items Craft powerful items to counter specific events or gain new abilities. All recipes require Event Tokens. **Colored Umbrellas** - Block acid rain and solar damage while providing safe falling. **Amethyst Staff** - Rechargeable magical weapon that changes player size. Bounces off glass blocks. **Pumpkin Carver** - Remove cursed pumpkins from yourself or others. **Moon Shades** - Protect against deadly moonlight. **Traffic Cone** - Prevent floor collapse in a 15-block radius when placed in item frames. **Midas Crown** - Immunity to the Midas touch. **Extendo Arm** - Increase your reach by 3 blocks. **Forcefield Generator** - Deflect projectiles and meteors in a configurable radius. Admin Menu

Creative and Spectator players can access an admin menu with /function moreworldevents:admin/admin_menu.

Toggle individual events on/off, adjust timers, force specific events, or trigger random rerolls. Full control over every aspect of the datapack.

Additional Info

Events persist across disconnects. When you rejoin, there's a 2-second grace period before effects apply.

Traffic Cones in item frames create protection zones. Place them strategically around your base to prevent destructive events.
