Upgradeable Iron Golems

You can now craft upgrades for iron golems. These unlock new abilities or just improve their stats. Crafting recipes can be found in the image gallery. All upgrades are for one time use, and every golem accepts only one of each upgrade. Uppon successfully upgrading, iron golem starts glowing for a moment. Upgrades are currently unremovable/unretrievable in survival. If you place down any of the upgrades, they will lose their abilities.

Purpose

This datapack was made to give iron golems more purpose other than to be killed in iron farms, but to also combat the super strong mobs in my "Hostile Mobs Improve Over time" datapack, which you can find in my profile page.

Commands

Any player can use /trigger showIronGolem which will tell the player about the equipped upgrades of the nearest iron golem. If you wish to check out all the items and dont want to craft everything, use /function upgirongolems:give_all_upgrades

Upgrades

Health upgrades

• Throwing an iron nugget at an iron golem will put him into iron ingot consumption mode. for every iron ingot, he receives +1 health (half a heart). Accepts only single item iron ingots (if close enough player can hold Q to throw the iron ingots and quickly upgrade without the ingots stacking on the ground).
• Stops accepting ingots when at 200 health (signaled by starting to glow)
• When upgrading, only max health is upgraded, so the iron golem needs to be healed for it to take any effect, and also means that he might crack when upgraded and not healed.

  Glow transmitter

  Throw at an iron golem to use. Will make the iron golem show any raid mobs around him in a 24 block radius.

  Golem Battery

  Throw at an iron golem to use. Will make him regenerate health when standing on redstone blocks (regen III).

  Sculk Remover

  Throw at an iron golem to use. Will make him destroy all sculk-related blocks around him, dropping all the experience orbs. Great for clearing up ancient cities.

  Iron Fist

  Throw at an iron golem to use. Iron golem gains strenght 5 + increases attack knockback (change in attack knockback is almost unnoticeable).

  Shield-field Star

  Throw at an iron golem to use. Will make him give all players and villagers (also wandering traders) resistance II in a 12 block radius. There is a 25% chance the nether star used in the recipe will be returned when used on an iron golem.

  Turtle Plate

  Throw at an iron golem to use. Grants a golem 15 armor points.
