This modpack is an extreme horror simulation designed to trigger intense physiological responses. By installing THE MASSACRE, you acknowledge:

• PHOTOSENSITIVITY: Contains aggressive visual glitches, rapid strobe effects, and sudden high-contrast lighting shifts. DO NOT PLAY if you have a history of epilepsy.
• CARDIAC ADVISORY: Features high-stress "Panic Events" and extreme spatial audio. Designed to induce sustained tachycardia (elevated heart rate). NOT RECOMMENDED for those with heart conditions or anxiety disorders.
• PSYCHOLOGICAL IMPACT: Utilizes advanced paranoia mechanics, isolation themes, and body horror.

It knows you

Most horror modpacks try to scare you with loud noises. THE MASSACRE prefers to let you scare yourself. It focuses on the "Paranoia Engine"—a meticulously tuned collection of mods that simulate the feeling of being hunted. You aren't the protagonist; you are the prey that hasn't been caught yet.

The Stages of The Massacre:

• The Observation: You will see things in the corner of your eye. You will find structures you didn't build. You will hear your own footsteps echoing when you've already stopped moving.
• The Isolation: The world feels empty because everything is hiding from the same thing you are. The silence is not peace; it is a warning.
• The Violation: When the attack finally comes, it won't be a fair fight. It will be a frantic, bloody struggle for a few more seconds of breath.

Survival Features:

• Psychological Warfare: Sanity mechanics that distort your vision and hearing as your fear increases.
• Intelligent Predation: AI that doesn't just pathfind to you, but circles your base, cuts off your exits, and waits for you to run out of torches.
• Visceral Realism: A revamped medical system where injuries linger, making every mistake a permanent scar on your playthrough.

SURVIVAL PROTOCOL:

1. DON'T LOOK BACK: If you hear a voice you recognize, it's already too late.
2. LIGHT IS LIES: Some entities use light to lure you in. Trust nothing.
3. STAY CALM: Your heartbeat is a beacon. The faster it goes, the easier you are to find.

WHY THERE ARE NO UPDATES:

I'm currently focused on other projects and don't feel like updating this mod pack right now. Maybe I'll improve it in the future and make it more scary and fun, but not now. I don't like how this mod pack is right now, and you probably don't either. I'm not a big fan of horror mod packs; with all due respect to the creators, I think they're not scary at all and are just garbage horror mods made for TikTok kids. Sorry, but there are definitely much better horror mod packs out there than mine.
