Pre-Required Features:

Introduction:

This datapack adds a Wither Skeleton raid in Bastion Remnant, just like an illager raid in villages. It supports minecraft versions from 1.16.2 to 1.21.11.

Mob Stats:

1. Captain Wither Skeleton:
   • HP ❤: 50 (25 hearts)
   • Armor ?️: Captain's Golden Helmet (Unbreakable)
   • Weapon ⚔️: Golden Axe
   • Kill Reward ?: Wither Omen Effect (shows black smoke particles)
   • Spawn ?: Nether Fortresses, Raids


2. Raider Wither Skeleton:
   • HP ❤: 24 (12 hearts)
   • Armor ?️: Basic Iron and Golden Armor
   • Weapon ⚔️: Basic Stone, Iron and Golden Weapon
   • Additions during deadly raid mode ?:
     • Iron Armor + Enchantment
     • Diamond Armor + Enchantment
     • Iron Weapon + Enchantment
     • Diamond Weapon + Enchantment
     • Speed++
   • Spawn ?: Raids


3. Bastion Golem (Disabled by default):
   • HP ❤: 75 (37.5 hearts)
   • Behaviour : Neutral
   • Spawn ?: Bastion Remnants (Piglins create it to defend themselves)
   • Disabled by default

Working:

• Piglin Brute's behaviour has been changed to neutral. It will only attack the player if the player does not have gold armor.
• Bastion Remnants does not contain lava anymore. This change not only makes it easy for players to stay safe during raid, but also makes it easy for Wither Skeletons to move better instead of getting stuck in lava. In addition, with this change, piglins can roam freely in their Bastion.
• Mob Spawners in Bastion Remnant are now replaced with Charged Respawn Anchors.
• Raid will start when a player with Wither Omen Effect enters a Bastion Remnant.
• Piglins and Piglin Brutes will not attack the players(with golden armor) under any condition during a raid, even if the players accidentally hit or kill any of them. Bastion Golem however, does get angry if a player accidentally hits it.
• Every wave of raid is led by one Captain Wither Skeleton, so the players will have to fight atleast one Captain each wave.
• During the start of each wave, wither skeleton raiders will spawn 4-10 blocks outside of Bastion Remnant and will start entering. Once they are in, they will find every Piglin and try to kill it. Your job is to stop each wave of wither skeletons from killing the piglins.
• Number of raid waves vary according to game difficulty:
• Easy: 6 waves
• Normal: 7 waves
• Hard: 8 waves
• In this raid, players do not get a bell to reveal the enemies through walls. Instead, there is a new mechanism. Wither Skeletons will glow for 5 seconds upon spawn, and after that, they will randomly glow and reveal themselves. Be sure to look for them at the very start of each wave, just so you will know their exact location. Wither Skeletons glow red in color.
• Piglins will also glow and reveal their location to you for assistance. Good part is, Piglins glow alot often when the "Raid" bar is recharging, so, players can take that as an advantage to reach them, to guard them. Another good part is, Piglins will also glow when they are in danger.
• Piglin Brutes will prepare their charged respawn anchor to help players respawn so be sure to set your spawn point while the raid bar is recharging.
• A display counter "Allies Remaining" will show the number of piglins remaining above player's hotbar.

Advancements:

• Voluntary Exile : Kill a Captain Wither Skeleton. Maybe consider staying away from the bastion remnants for the time being.
• Hero of the Bastion Remnant : Successfully defend a bastion from a raid.
• Unexpected Allies : Bastion savior, now guarded by grateful piglins.
• Free The Bastion : Kill all the Captain Wither Skeletons in the Raided Bastion to allow Piglins re-populate the Bastion.
• Mob Discovered: Bastion Golem : Bastion Golem has 75 HP, it can only be created by Piglins inside the Bastion Remnant to defend themselves from hostile mobs and players. It is made of highly dense gold blocks so it does not crack like iron golem.

NOTE: The new Voluntary Exile advancement does not replace the original Voluntary Exile advancement which was obtained by killing Illager Captain. Both have different IDs.
