As per the news before, the remake was made and published. But it may not receive updates (I say may because I am considering continuing...). Still, enjoy the significant quality improvements.
So... what's different in the remake? Just simply higher quality. Multiplayer supported, and true infinite generation. The only drawback: only level 0 is present. Same way to enter, and to get out you must

Backrooms...

You've heard of it. You've searched for mods of it... why else are you here? (Not everything in this mod is finalized)

About

This mod is a Backrooms mod that doesn't affect normal survival gameplay at all... until you noclip. This mod adds a bunch of unique levels with their own entities to accompany them. It doesn't just progressively get harder, but just varies in difficulty.

This mod does procedurally generate levels

REQUIREMENTS (For older versions)

Render distance: 12 or higher

Simulation distance: 6 or higher

Ambience sound volume: 100

Without these, it won't work. (ambience is for some sounds)

How to Enter

Simply suffocate in a wall or sand to noclip. You MUST do it in survival or it won't do anything.

Levels (in order):

Spoiler 1. Backrooms: the main place.  2. Parking Garage: A big open space with tons of dark areas.  3. Pipe Dreams: A dense sewer area with rusted pipes and long halls.  4. Office: Red carpet, white walls, don't look outside, or go near any windows.  5. Poolrooms: Because why not? Tile haven, infested waters. 

Entities:

Spoiler 1. Shadows: an entity that runs quick and blinds the player when approached. 2. Tricks: A player-shaped entity with heavy sounding stomps. Very quick. 3. Smilers: Smiling with an eerie white glow. They hate the light. Drains sanity quick. 4. Arms: Walks with its arms. Pretty quick. Does crazy damage. Screams when close to the player, even if it doesn't see them 5. Handy: An arm coming out of the rust of the pipes. Will drag you down if you get close. It is a part of the rust, so it can move, but due to it's rust it can only move at 20% of it's actual speed. 6. Windows: Don't look outside. Don't go near them. They drive you **INSANE.** 7. Eyes: Friendly creatures that make you lose 10 sanity when you go near them. They don't do much but stare and breathe. 8. Pools Guardian: The peaceful god of the poolrooms. His goal is to peacefully keep the environment of the poolrooms clean. He will offer you freedom. Accept it and you can escape the backrooms!
