Better Potions

Better Potions is a mod designed to add more potions and affects into the game. Currently, there are 15 types of potions that this mod adds to the game, with the majority of them having longer and stronger variants.

The potions

The potions are what this mod is mainly about. Each of the potions can be brewed in a brewing stand, and most potions have splash, lingering, and arrow variants. Unless stated otherwise, all potions require an Awkward potion to make.

Potion of Absorption

This potion gives the vanilla Absorption effect that is normally only obtainable through both Golden Apples and Totems of Undying. This potion requires a Golden Apple to make, and has Long and Strong variants.

Potion of Blindness

This potion gives the Blindness effect, requiring a Azure Bluet to make, and has a Long variant.

Potion of Darkness

This potion gives the Darkness effect from the Deep Dark biome, being a stonger Blindness. It requires a Sculk Block (obtainable with silk touch) to make, and has a Long variant

Potion of Glowing

This potion gives the Glowing effect that normally comes from spectral arrows. This requires a Glowstone Block to make, and has a Long variant.

Potion of Effeciency

This potion gives the beacon effect Haste, requiring a Golden Pickaxe to make (giving a use to golden tools), and has a Long and Strong variant.

Potion of Starvation

This potion gives the hunger effect and requires Rotten Flesh to make (giving use to another item) and has Long and Strong variants.

Potion of Levitation

This potion gives the levitation effect from Shulkers, requiring Shulker Shells and has Long and Strong Variants.

Potion of Saturation

This potion gives the saturation effect filling up players stomachs better than bread. This potion requires a regular Apple to make, and has a Strong variant.

Potion of Decay

This potion gives the wither effect, dealing heavy damage. This potion requires a Wither Rose to make, and has a Long and Strong variant.

Enchanted Potion

New base potion. This potion requires a Golden Apple in water to make.

Potion of Buffer

This potion gives the Buffer effect, changing all damage to deal half a heart, and granting the ability to survive death.

Potion of Immortality

This potion makes the user take no damage from certain damage types until they drink milk or their next death.
