A strange infection has begun to twist the very code of the Minecraft world — spreading through dimensions, corrupting creatures, and giving rise to Alternates: entities that blur the line between human, machine, and spirit.

This mod explores the mystery of the Archangel’s Plague, a cosmic event that changed the balance between creation and chaos. The player becomes part of an unfolding story where every sound, every shadow, and every strange structure might hide a clue.

The Alternates

Alternates are mysterious beings that appeared from unknown realms during the early formation of the Minecraft universe.

They are capable of mimicking the appearance of players or villagers, but their movements and voices are slightly distorted — like reflections in a cracked mirror. Each Alternate variant has unique traits:

Standard Alternates: Common entities with human-like forms and eerie, shifting faces.

N-Type Alternates: Faster and more unstable, capable of vanishing into light.

Controllable Alternate Commanders: Intelligent leaders that can issue commands to other entities.

Spectral Alternates: Energy-based versions that phase through blocks and distort nearby light.
