Refined Patchwork
This datapack adds and tweaks many vanilla recipes and behaviors. It aims to enhance the Minecraft experience without breaking the game's balance.

Edited Vanilla Crafts
### ▶️Grindstone can be crafted with stone, sandstone, or red sandstone slabs.
### ▶️Carrot on a Stick and Warped Fungus on a Stick are shapeless.
### ▶️Stonecutter can be crafted with stone, deepslate, granite, diorite, or andesite.
### ▶️All Redstone items that use cobblestone in their crafting recipe can also be crafted with cobblestone, cobbled deepslate, or blackstone *(e.g., Piston, Observer...)*.
### ▶️All Redstone items that use stone in their crafting recipe can also be crafted with stone, deepslate, granite, diorite, or andesite *(e.g., Comparator, Repeater...)*.
### ▶️Daylight Detector can now be crafted with any type of glass (except tinted glass).
### ▶️Crafting wood from logs gives **4** wood *(instead of 3 in vanilla)*, and this works with any wood variant.
### ▶️Crafting a quartz block gives **4** quartz blocks.
### ▶️Crafting a trapdoor gives 6 trapdoors *(exept for bamboo)*.
### ▶️Blast Furnaces can be crafted with smooth stone, smooth sandstone, or smooth red sandstone.
### ▶️Leads no longer require slimeballs *(like newer Minecraft versions)*.
New Crafting Recipes
### ▶️Podzol can be crafted using dirt and any type of leaves.
### ▶️1 wool gives 4 string
### ▶️Melon blocks gives 9 slices.
### ▶️All utility tables *(cartography, smithing, fletching, loom)* can be crafted using a crafting table + specific item.
### ▶️Anvils can be crafted with iron blocks and chipped anvils *(chipped anvils can be crafted the same way, but using damaged anvils)*.
- Leaves can be converted into any other type using a sapling.
- You can craft and convert torches and soul torches.
- Craft light blocks with levels 1, 7, 10, and 15.
- Craft invisible and glowing item frames.
- Add many new ways to obtain dyes.
- `[1.21.10+]` You can craft a Copper Torch by combining a regular Torch with one Copper Nugget.
- `[1.21.10+]` You can craft a Copper Lantern by combining a regular Lantern with one Copper Nugget.
New Uncrafting Recipes
- Honeycomb blocks can be uncrafted into 4 honeycombs.
- You can uncraft a chest boat to retrieve both the boat and the chest.
- You can uncraft a minecart chest to retrieve both the minecart and the chest.
- You can uncraft a minecart furnace to retrieve both the minecart and the furnace.
- You can uncraft a minecart hopper to retrieve both the minecart and the hopper.
- You can uncraft a minecart TNT to retrieve both the minecart and the TNT.
Duplication
- You can duplicate cobbled deepslate by combining 1 cobblestone with 1 deepslate.
- Banner patterns can be duplicated using paper
- Sherds can be duplicated using 4 bricks
Stonecutter
- All wood types, including bamboo, can be used in the stonecutter.
- Deepslate provides all deepslate variants in the stonecutter.
- Light blocks can be converted to any light level
- Paintings can be placed in a stonecutter to select the desired variant.
- You can choose different armor stand variants by placing them in the stonecutter.
Smithing Table

▶️Lets you upgrade Nautilus Armor using Nautilus Shells, the current armor piece, and the materials of the next tier. **You must upgrade step by step** — for example, you can’t go directly from iron to diamond; you have to go through the golden tier first.
Furnace
- Smelting copper, iron, or gold raw blocks gives copper, iron, or gold blocks.
- Ancient debris cannot be smelted in a standard furnace but only in a blast furnace *(with a longer cooking time)*.
Miscellaneous
- Eating a melon slice gives one melon seed.
- `[1.21+]` Trial spawners will give more food when they drop it.
- Frogspawn can be obtain with silktouch
- Many new ways to obtain dyes
- Combine colored wool to create new colors *(not all combinations are supported)*. For example, `red + white = pink`.
- Throwing wet sponge into the Nether dries it
- Holding a clock shows the time **(customizable format**). Use `/trigger rfpw.clock.toggle.display` to toggle the display, and `/trigger rfpw.clock.toggle.format` to change the time format.
- Holding a compass shows your coordinates. Use `/trigger rfpw.compass.toggle.display` to toggle the display.
- Holding a recovery compass shows your death location. Use `/trigger rfpw.recovery_compass.toggle.display` to toggle the display.
- `[1.21+]` Having a Heavy Core in your inventory gives Slowness II
- Normal potions and banner patterns stack up to 16
- Splashing a water potion on lava transforms it into cobblestone.
- `[1.21.2+]` Throw a plant named `Placeable` to place it on any full block
- Wet sponge can also dry on a campfire
- Climbing speed on climbable blocks *(ladders, vines, weeping vines, twisting vines, and scaffolding)* is enhanced by sneaking, jumping, and looking *(up = climb, down = descend)*. For versions `1.21` and `1.21.1`, the effect is the same but jumping is not required
- Falling into the End void while holding a totem teleports you back
- `[1.21.6+]` Change the H.Ghast base ‘flying_speed’ attribute from 0.05 to 0.085 when it is being ridden and the player is holding a snowball in both the main and off-hand
- `[1.21.10+]` The more a Copper Golem is oxidized, the slower it moves.
Entity Interactions
- Taking llama spit damage while holding a piston in your main or off-hand transforms it into a sticky piston.
- Hitting a squid while holding white wool turns the wool into black wool, and hitting a glow squid turns it into cyan wool.
- Hitting a squid or glow squid causes 2 seconds of blindness.
Cauldron Interactions
- Dropping magma cream into a water-filled cauldron produces a slimeball.
- Dropping concrete powder into a water-filled cauldron turns it into concrete.
- Dropping dirt into a water-filled cauldron turns it into mud.
- Dropping any colored wool into a water-filled cauldron turns it white.
- Dropping any colored carpet into a water-filled cauldron turns it white.
- Dropping any colored bed into a water-filled cauldron turns it white.
- Dropping any colored banner into a water-filled cauldron turns it white.
- Dropping any colored glass or glass pane into a water-filled cauldron removes its color.
