A seasonal environment mod inspired by the 24 Solar Terms.
Spring rain drifting across distant fields.
Long summer days filled with insects and warm wind.
Autumn forests slowly turning gold and red.
Snow quietly gathering through the longest nights of winter.
Ecliptic Seasons is a standalone seasonal environment mod for Minecraft. Inspired by the traditional 24 Solar Terms, it divides the year into four seasons and twenty-four smaller periods, each with its own atmosphere and environmental changes.
Weather, temperature, daylight length, vegetation, crops, animals, sounds, particles, models, and block appearances can all change as time passes.
Make Minecraft feel like a world where time truly passes.

The world follows a complete cycle of four seasons and twenty-four solar terms.
Instead of abrupt transitions, seasonal changes happen gradually throughout the year.
As the year progresses, the world naturally transforms around you.
Weather is no longer limited to vanilla Minecraft’s predictable cycle.
Different seasons have different weather tendencies. Some periods may bring frequent rain, repeated snow, longer dry weather, or colder conditions.
Snow is affected by temperature and the environment. It can gradually appear, accumulate, melt, and retreat as the climate changes.
Features include:
Seasons affect more than the sky.
Crop growth can depend on season, humidity, biome climate, and local conditions. Some crops may thrive during one part of the year but struggle in another.
Players can use greenhouses to keep crops growing during unfavorable seasons.
Humidity-related systems can also make farming in different climates feel distinct, so farming in a desert is not the same as farming in a forest or plain.
Ecliptic Seasons also includes practical tools and atmospheric blocks, such as:
These features help players observe, manage, and interact with seasonal changes directly.
Ecliptic Seasons is not only about mechanics.
The seasonal timeline can drive:
Resource pack creators can build seasonal music packs, custom ambience, visual effects, and model changes on top of the system.
The mod is designed for customization.
Players, server owners, modpack creators, and resource pack authors can adjust the experience to fit their world.
Nearly every major feature can be configured.
Ecliptic Seasons is primarily developed for NeoForge / Forge.
A native Fabric implementation is also available:
