Keysmith introduces a simple but powerful item-based locking system to Minecraft. It allows players to craft unique key items that can lock chests, doors, barrels, trapdoors, fence gates, and even entities like horses. To lock an object, players sneak and right-click the block while holding a key. Only the matching key item can open the lock, providing secure, physical access control without claims or region protections.

This system is designed for survival SMPs, faction servers, and roleplay communities that want immersive base protection and interactive gameplay. Keys are tradable, renameable, and copyable using anvils. You can choose to share your access or keep it private — or risk your key being stolen.
