OreOverhaul expands Minecraft's underground and natural world with new materials and mechanics that tie directly into vanilla gameplay.

Features:

New ores, in the right places
Jade and Silver run through the usual overworld stone and deepslate, each with a full tool and armor line behind them. Sulfur Ore shows up in the Nether, but there's also a separate Sulfur Ore and a Tuff Sulfur Ore that only spawn in the new Sulfur Caves biome — you won't find them anywhere else. Head into snowy biomes and you'll run into Frozen Stone, which hides its own Cryo Ore underneath. And somewhere down in the dark stone beneath all of it, something else is digging too.

Gear that actually changes how you play
Silver equipment is built around the idea that silver only really "wakes up" at night — swords land a big true-damage bonus after dark, tools mine noticeably faster, and the armor gives you extra protection while the sun's down. By daylight it's just decent gear. Jade fills out the more straightforward top-tier set, and there's a Burrower armor line alongside it.

Tools with a bit of tech to them
The Copper Drill instant-mines stone-tier blocks at close range, but it needs power — keep a Copper Battery in your offhand or it'll run dry mid-dig. The Jade Detector uses the same battery system and pings a chunk of the world around you for buried diamond. Sulfur Dust is genuinely dangerous to carry — get it too close to fire or lava and it goes off. Smoke Bombs give you cover to retreat, Fire Bombs spread flame across the impact area, and Cryo Shards freeze anything caught in the blast with Slowness. The Magnet Block is the lazy farmer's dream: point it at a patch of grown Iron Root and it harvests and ejects nuggets on its own, no player needed. And if you find a Deep Pouch out in the world already filled, cracking it open dumps everything straight into your inventory.

Farming that rewards a little effort
Iron Root Crops grow on Netherrack, or Coal Humus, and tossing extra Coal Humus nearby speeds up the growth. Bat Nesting Boxes passively attract bats and turn them into a steady trickle of Guano, which works like a multi-use bonemeal.

Something is digging here...
The Hoarder doesn't just attack — it actively hunts down Deep Pouches dropped in the world, picks them up, inspects them, fills them with random loot, and drops them again. Get too close and it switches to pelting you with freezing Cryo Shards instead of fighting in melee.
