Things Need A Tool

This is a Minecraft datapack that adds tool requirements for blocks that did not have a proper tool, making it easier and faster to break them.

What it does

This datapack groups the most commonly-used blocks that did not have a correct tool into tool categories. This means you no longer need to spend hours breaking blocks with the wrong tool, and the enchantment 'efficiency' now applies to these blocks, making it even faster to break them.

Changes made

The following blocks are now grouped under these tool categories:

Pickaxe

• Tinted glass
• White, orange, magenta, light blue, yellow, lime, pink, gray, light gray, cyan, purple, blue, brown, green, red and black stained glass
• Glass
• Glass pane
• White, orange, magenta, light blue, yellow, lime, pink, gray, light gray, cyan, purple, blue, brown, green, red and black stained glass pane
• Beacon
• Glowstone
• Sea lantern
• Redstone lantern
• Reinforced deepslate

Hoe

• Pearlescent, ochre and verdant froglight
• Cactus

Axe

• Skeleton skull
• Wither skeleton skull
• Zombie head
• Player head
• Creeper head
• Dragon head
• Piglin head
