LegacyAuth

Lightweight mod that restores secure player authentication to legacy servers (e.g., b1.2_02) where online-mode no longer works verifies identities and blocks name spoofing. Additionally, LegacyAuth restores player skins to Beta versions of Minecraft — allowing players to see proper skins once again.

Setup

Authentication (Required on client and server):

• Drop the JAR into the mods/ folder.
• Join servers normally

Skins (Client-only):

• Only the client needs the mod installed to restore player skins.
• Works seamlessly even if the server does not have the mod.
