8 Bit Shaded Textures

A clean, 8x8 resolution texture pack that strips Minecraft down to its
roots — every texture redrawn at half the vanilla resolution for a crisp,
retro pixel-art look.

What it is

This pack replaces 300+ block textures with custom 8x8 versions. Some stay
faithful to vanilla, others are lightly redesigned for a cleaner, more minimal
feel. The result is a consistent low-res aesthetic across the game.

Why use it?

• Distinct style — stands out from the sea of 16x+ packs; classic 8-bit
  look without being noisy
• Lighter on your GPU — 8x8 textures use less VRAM than vanilla 16x16,
  which can help on lower-end hardware
• Still recognizable — textures stay true enough to vanilla that you always
  know what you're looking at

Status

This pack is in early beta. Coverage is growing — expect more textures in
future updates.
