Overview

Reimagined is a total conversion of the vanilla gameplay experience featuring an entirely new world, revamped mechanics, and a much higher difficulty.

The goal of Reimagined is to give a better survival experience that differs from vanilla's views and way of going about things. As in, things Mojang would not do.

Disclaimers: This mod is not attempting to be a replacement of the vanilla gameplay experience. Instead it intends to be something that I, personally, would enjoy playing more.
This mod is in very very early alpha and as such doesn't have a lot to it. Bugs, oversights, and unfinished mechanics abound.

Additions

To be specific, this mod starts you in a completely different overworld carrying over very little things from the vanilla one. Food is a lot more scarce and must be obtained through tedious means or hostile ones. Stamina makes it harder to run away from fights meaning you must commit to a battle a lot more. In other words, surviving is a lot harder. Progression is very different as well. For example; in order to get a stone equivelent pickaxe, you either need to fight monsters for their drops to make said pickaxe, or interact with the local passive mobs to do so.
